Farewell & Happy Retirement to Cheryl
The Board of Directors of Las Casa de San Gabriel Community Center announces the retirement of CEO Cheryl Prentice as of August 29, 2014.
This is the first time in more than forty years that Cheryl will not stand at the door to greet families on the first day of school. With deep gratitude, we acknowledge the generous nature and dedicated service that Cheryl brought to La Casa each day.
“The many, many families of La Casa remain precious to me and it is with joy to have a second generation come to the preschool. La Casa is at an exciting time with our connection to LAUP, First 5 LA’s Race to the Top, and our Board training with Executive Service Corps. I’m delighted to pass the torch to Eduardo Garcia. Now I will have time to see more of my own family, to travel, and perhaps slow down a bit.
